Mizuho Tamura (田村 瑞穂 Tamura Mizuho) is a supporting character from Ju-on: Video Side and Ju-on: The Curse, portrayed by actress Chiaki Kuriyama. Mizuho is the girlfriend of Tsuyoshi Murakami and crosses paths with the grudge curse after visiting his house.

Biography[]

Mizuho, who had lost her mother, became desperate after her father was mysteriously murdered. Tatsuya Tamura was a real estate agent who sold the Saeki house to Tsuyoshi's family. Tsuyoshi comforted Mizuho and invited her to his house, remarking that his family was thankful for Tatsuya's last effort.

One day, Mizuho was supposed to meet Tsuyoshi in the school, but only found his bicycle and his bag. She asked Tezuka if he had came to school with Tsuyoshi, to which he denied. She was caught by the school janitor and was told to go home, as the school was closing. Mizuho replied she was looking for Tsuyoshi and the janitor assured her the building was empty. Mizuho mentioned her that his bike and schoobag were still there. The janitor agreed and entered with Mizuho in the building. As no one appeared, the janitor went out to check once again, and Mizuho was left alone.

Growing increasingly concerned, she called Tsuyoshi's mother Noriko, but Tsuyoshi also never returned home. As the lights went out, her call was shut down. Mizuho turned a lamp on and noticed it was disconected from the outlet. She went down the table and was susprised by a pale, ghostly boy running in the room. Mizuho heard her cellphone ringing on the table and, as she raised her hand to pick it, Mizuho felt the ghost's feet instead. Terrified, she attempted to leave the room and felt someone touching her from behind. As she turned, Mizuho saw the ghostly boy smiling and meowing at her. The outcome of her encounter with Toshio isn’t shown and her body was never found afterwards, sharing Tsuyoshi's fate.

Etymology[]
