Hajime Kashiwagi (柏木肇, Kashiwagi Hajime) is a character from Ju-on: Black Ghost and Ju-on: White Ghost, portrayed by Ichirôta Miyakawa.

Hajime is Akane's father, and a taxi driver. One night, he drives Ayano and Yokota. Sometime later, Hajime drives a quiet, silent Atsushi carrying a bag to the forest. Fumiya dressed as Santa Claus crosses their way to the Isobe house, and Hajime starts talking to Atsushi about Christmas, and asks him about his plans for it, receiving no answer. Even so, he talks about his plans with Akane. The next day, Christmas Eve, Hajime left similarly quiet and silent Akane at school, and discovered she was not excited for Christmas at all. Before leaving, Akane found something viscous on the backseat, to what Hajime apologized, justifying that could be from the passenger from the previous day. While cleaning the substance, Hajime was called from the cab office and was told that the police wanted to interrogate him about the passenger. Hajime looked through his rear-view mirror and briefly saw him. As he turned, there was only the bag the passenger carried on the backseat. Hajime informed he was on the way and went to check the bag. As he opened it, Hajime was surprised by the ghostly face of a little girl, whose hands grabbed him from behind, decapitating him. Hajime was reported missing. Seven years later, Akane was in school when she was invited by her schoolmates to play Kokkuri, and was suggested to call for Hajime's spirit. After she agreed and they performed the game, it was Mirai's name was spelled, and she appeared instead.

Notes and triviaEdit

  • Hajime and Akane's storyline is reminiscent of Izumi and Toyama's plot from Ju-on: The Grudge. Both girls lose their father to the curse and grow up in mourning.
