Mayumi is Akane Kashiwagi and Yuka Kanehara's friend and classmate.

- The name Mayumi means "real, genuine" (真) (ma), "reason, case, cause" (由) (yu) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
- Mayumi's surname Yoshikawa means "lucky, good" (吉) (yoshi) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa).
