Saori (沙織) is a minor character in Ju-on: The Grudge portrayed by Risa Odagiri.
Biography[]
Ju-on: The Curse 2[]
Her voice is heard along Chiaki's and Ayano's in the last segment. They found a Sake bottle (probably the one Kyoko left years ago) and noticed a woman who was looking at them outside the house.
Ju-on: The Grudge[]
A little more is explained about their deaths, Saori was friends with Izumi, Chiaki, Ayano, Chiharu, Miyuki and Hiromi. One day, she convinced Izumi to visit the Saeki house along Chiaki and Ayano after they returned from a school trip. Izumi felt something was wrong even before they entered the house, and once they did, she had an encounter with her deceased father from the past. She couldn't stand it anymore and decides to run away, leaving her three friends. After that, they hear noises coming from the closet and are attacked and killed by Kayako. While trying to burn the house, Yuji Toyama had a vision from the future of the three being killed.
After the incident, Izumi began to be haunted by the ghosts to the point of becoming disturbed by it. Eventually, the three of them appeared in her house and chased her through it until she was cornered and then grabbed and killed by Kayako too.
Etymology[]
- The name Saori means "sand" (沙) (sa) and "weave, weaving" (織) (ori).
Trivia[]
- In the The Grudge 2, her counterpart was Vanessa, through unlike her, it was not Saori's intention to play a prank on Izumi when they visited the house.
- In a deleted scene after Izumi has been taken, Jiro, Chiaki and Ayano's faces appear besides Toyama and Izumi's faces. Shimizu explained he dropped the scene because he thought it would either be ridiculed or take the focus away from Izumi's death and place it on the entire group instead.
